Enjoy the authentic Kiwi high school experience!
Our High School COMBI programme is designed to give you the opportunity to take advantage of both types of schooling during your visit to New Zealand: firstly at Dominion to develop your language skills and then high school for the experience of studying a variety of subjects within the New Zealand education system.
One fee covers everything for both Dominion and our high school partners.
At Dominion:
The course begins on Monday morning with an entry test, orientation and in the afternoon students join their General English class. Students generally join our teenage Super-Intensive English programme, studying from 9.00am–3.30pm every day (25 hours per week).
At high school:
The course ideally begins at the beginning of a new school term, although special arrangements can be made to accept students within the term.
The high school provides a uniform, textbooks, pastoral care, counselling, curriculum related trips and camps included in their fees.
Course Length:
Short term: 4 + 4 weeks , 4 weeks at each school
Long term: 10 + 20 weeks (10 weeks at Dominion, 20 weeks at high school), 20 + 40 weeks (20 weeks at Dominion, 40 weeks at high school)
The combination of weeks at Dominion and at high school can be arranged to suit individual student needs.

Partner schools :
In Auckland we recommend Glendowie College and Northcote College as our COMBI partners. We have known these schools for many years. They are supportive and provide personal attention to their international students and are located not far from Dominion English Schools. We can, on request, offer other schools in combination with our courses.
Accommodation:
We provide a carefully selected homestay family which has easy access to BOTH schools. Where possible, we will provide a family with students of the same age, or who may be attending the high school. Half board is provided during the week with full board at the weekends while at Dominion. Full board is provided while at high school.
Guardianship:
This is required during study at high school and this is included in the fees. Guardianship is not charged while at Dominion.
Insurance:
One cover for both schools (included in the fees).
