"I’ve studied for over 55 weeks (at Dominion). At first I couldn’t cope with the way of teaching because it’s quite different from Saudi Arabia, but a short time later I got used to it and I liked it. The teachers are kind and respectful, and the classes are enjoyable. My English has significantly improved. Starting from level 3 to level 7 has meant a lot of study, but because of that I got my IELTS result that allows me to do my postgraduate. I made a lot of friends, some of them have gone back to their country, but I’m still in contact with a lot of them. New Zealand is a peaceful, enjoyable, green, lovely country and I strongly give my recommendation to visit it". (Yasir is pictured above, in the middle)
“I'd say Dominion is the best school in NZ because Dominion is the closest school from City Fitness which is the gym on Queen Street! I'm kidding! Actually, Dominion is like a family and a big part of my life! All the teachers treated me like a son or a member of the family. They're very friendly and freaking awesome! I enjoyed all my courses, especially the IELTS and Cambridge courses which were really useful for improving my English skills. I suppose my English skills have improved a lot because when I first came to NZ I couldn't speak English properly. However, now I can speak English with native speakers. I love Auckland!! I was able to meet many friends who were from different countries and New Zealand gave me a lot of luck and opportunities. I've made over 500 friends in NZ. Everyone was so kind, even though my English skills were awful! (Lee is pictured above, back left)”
"First of all, what I want to emphasise is that my trip to New Zealand was not for learning English. To be honest, it was for fun and having experiences abroad, so I planned to learn English at Dominion for a year and go back to my country after that at first. However, I have been in New Zealand for more than two years now and I am even going to university here. What changed my mind and actually made me do so was nothing but Dominion. The first thing was meeting the students. Dominion has many students with a variety of nationalities so there are so many chances to meet people who are not from your country (even from your country!!) and make friends with them. The second one was teachers. All Dominion’s staff members are friendly and enthusiastic about teaching and their classes are well-organised. Finally, now they tell me “you are a part of our family” even though I was a complete stranger to them before I started going to Dominion. I’m really proud of being a part of their family and Dominion was the most valuable and irreplaceable experience". (Shuya is pictured above)
"Studying English in Auckland was one of the best experiences of my life! New Zealand is a beautiful country and the people here are friendly and they always want to help you. I studied English for two months in Dominion School and it was great! I improved my English a lot and at the same time I really enjoyed my classes and I made a lot of good friends from different countries. Also, I enjoyed the after school activities because I went to different beautiful places and I met students from other courses…it was very interesting from me!!
During the two months I stayed in a homestay and it was great! I really felt like I was in my home and for me was one of the most important things because I had a lot of fun with them and they helped me a lot to improve my English. Also, I learned a lot about the lifestyle in New Zealand, their food, their traditions and obviously, about sports!" (Cecilia is pictured above, on the far left)
"My first teacher was Martin. He is amazing! He is a good painter, singer and also he is a humourist. Chika! What is an awesome teacher!!! She smiles and she always tries to understand every student! Gail! Such a lovely teacher! She looks like a Mickey Mouse. She has many energy and a lot of creative ideas! I have been in Anne’s class but not really long time. Thank you, Anne for vocabulary.
I want to say specially thanks for my IELTS teachers which were Regina and Nicola. They are amazing, positive (especially Regina), very methodical, conscientious, diplomatic (especially Nicola), enthusiastic and inquisitive! They are planners, communicators, quick thinkers and they could find the way from every single student. I reckon they have a perfect friendship with students and also with colleagues. I will never forget my 7 months at Dominion! It is already like my second family! I will visit you.
I have made a dramatic improvement in my English. I am going to continue learning English and hope I can enter to University here. Dominion English School is a perfect choice for everyone who wants to study English overseas". (Arina is pictured above)
"When I decided to go to New Zealand, my daughter said to me, "No! You're too old to study abroad." I said, "No I'm not. I'm going!" Finally, I went to New Zealand. I believe I am the happiest student at Dominion. I'm very happy and my teachers were very kind and helpful. I'll never forget Dominion and the teachers. I'm saving to come back already!"
